The United States is refuting earlier reports of peace talks with Afghani Taliban representatives in Qatar, reports Reuters.
A US official, speaking anonymously, said these reports are "not true."
"Five former members of the supreme council of the Afghan Taliban, headed by Tayyab Agha, will hold talks with the US," a senior Taliban cadre based in Pakistan told AFP earlier Thursday.
