ALBAWABA- In a recent statement, the US Central Command reported that on February 19th, the Houthis launched attacks on two commercial vessels in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden

The Greek grain carrier ship "M/V Sea Champion" was hit by two anti-ship ballistic missiles (ASBMs), causing minor damage but no injuries were reported.

Additionally, another anti-ship ballistic missile was launched but failed to strike any vessels. Meanwhile, the American cargo ship "M/V Navis Fortuna" came under attack from a one-way aerial unmanned vehicle (OWA UAV), resulting in minor damage but no casualties.

Responding, US CENTCOM forces destroyed a surface-to-air missile (SAM) and an OWA UAV in Yemen.

Furthermore, American and allied aircraft and ships intercepted 10 OWA UAVs in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

The interception of an anti-ship cruise missile (ASCM) targeting the American destroyer "USS Laboon" underscores the increasing tensions in the region.
