Flight Safety Boeing Training International (FSBTI), a US company, is in talks to buy the pilot school of Royal Jordanian (RJ), Jordan's national airline, an anonymous RJ official told AFP on December 3rd.
"The negotiations are expected to be finished by mid-January," the RJ official was quoted by the Middle East, without disclosing any potential sale figure.
According to the weekly, the FSBTI provides flight instruction at 20 locations around the world.
The company is owned in partnership by the Boeing Company and Flight Safety International, the paper said, adding that the RJ's decision to put its flight school on the market comes as part of the Jordanian government's plan to privatize the airline by 2001 -- Albawaba.com
