The US envoy to the Middle East, Dennis Ross, is to meet Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat in Morocco within the next few days to discuss ways to end the violence in the Palestinian territories and Israel, a US official said Sunday.
The official, a member of US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright's entourage with her on an official visit to Botswana, told the media on condition of anonymity that the meeting will be "very brief.”
Ross "will be traveling to Morocco early next week to meet with Yasser Arafat to discuss the current situation, how to end the violence, and how to build a bridge back to peace," the official said -- GABORONE (AFP)
