ALBAWABA - Coinciding with the U.S. rejection of Iran's response to Washington's proposal to end the war on Monday, one of America's most dangerous nuclear trinity weapons is heading toward Tehran.

The U.S. Department of Defense announced that a nuclear submarine had arrived at the port of Gibraltar, which directly links the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea.

The US Navy's Sixth Fleet added that "the nuclear submarine's arrival at the port showcases the United States' capability and flexibility, and its continued commitment to its NATO allies."

The Department did not disclose the name of the nuclear submarine, which is capable of carrying ballistic missiles and belongs to the Ohio-class.

According to American news reports, these nuclear submarines are among the most secretive weapons in the US military. The Hill newspaper reported that the precise locations of these submarines—which can also be equipped with nuclear warheads—are classified as top secret.

Axios quoted officials as saying that President Donald Trump is leaning toward some form of military action against Iran in order to increase pressure on Tehran and extract concessions regarding its nuclear program.

When asked last week about the possibility of returning to war if no agreement is reached with Tehran, Trump replied: "You'll find out, and you'll see a bright flash," in a threat that some interpreted as a threat of nuclear weapons.

He also hinted at the possibility of resuming military attacks on Iran.
