Two US Navy ships have passed through the Suez Canal on Thursday en route to the Gulf, a port official said Friday.
The USNS Algol, a transport vessel for tanks, helicopters and other heavy material, and the 1,000-bed hospital ship USNS Comfort, passed through the canal, according to AFP.
A British Royal Navy arms transport was due at the northern terminus of Port Said on Saturday and a submarine and frigate the following day, the same source said. (Albawaba.com)
