US President George W. Bush on Monday received visiting Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri for "positive and constructive" talks, focusing on Lebanese economic development and the president's "roadmap" for Middle East peace, according to the White House.
"It was a positive, constructive meeting," deputy spokesman Scott McClellan told reporters. "The president emphasized the importance of Lebanon working with the IMF on a sustainable program”.
According to McClellan, both leaders reviewed the peace process, and "the president expressed his strong commitment to continuing our efforts to implement the road map he outlined on June 24th." (Albawaba.com)
