ALBAWABA - Amid rising tension in the South, US and Russian embassies in Beirut released warnings for their citizen to refrain from visiting Lebanon.

"U.S. citizens in Lebanon should be aware of the risks of remaining in the country and review their personal security plans. U.S. citizens are urged to avoid travel to southern Lebanon, the Syrian border, and refugee settlements in Lebanon." the US Department of State - Bureau of Counselor Affairs said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the Russian ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Rudakov advised Russian citizens to refrain from visiting the country, as experts warn from a regional war between Israel and Hezbollah.

The tension between Lebanon's Hezbollah and Israel began after the latest Israeli aggression in Gaza on Oct. 7. The Iranian-backed organization announced targeting Israel after the later announced war on Gaza following Hamas' Al-Aqsa Flood operation.

Hezbollah has been firing rockets against Palestinian occupied territories and the Israeli army has also been conducting airstrikes in southern Lebanon killing several Hezbollah generals and members.
