The United States Secretary of State, Colin Powell termed in New York Monday evening the recent statements of Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Saudi Foreign Minister, which were circulated by the U.S. media, "a step forward."
According to SPA news agency, the Secretary of State said he had heard Prince Saud as saying that all member countries of the United Nations have the obligation to adhere to implement the resolutions of the Security Council.
In response to a question on the interpretation of the U.S. media regarding Prince Saud’s statements, Powell replied, "We have not talked about attacks or military bases so far. Therefore, I leave the statements of Prince Saud Al-Faisal without any more comments." (Albawaba.com)
