The United States believes there is an "important, historic opportunity" for a settlement of the Cyprus problem, US State Department Deputy Spokesman Philip Reeker said in Washington on Tuesday.
According to CNA, Reeker said the US would like to see the parties take advantage of this "historic opportunity" and take action to resolve the Cyprus dispute, emphasizing that his country has been extremely supportive of the United Nations Secretary General's efforts for a settlement in Cyprus.
