Variety of food packing solutions on show
At Gulfood 2009 Ishida will be showcasing two packing lines – for snacks and for dates – that demonstrate its ability to devise complete solutions.
In addition, the stand will also highlight Ishida’s newly launched IDCS software programme that can link up to 100 checkweighers to provide valuable production data.
The iTPS snack line is Ishida’s dedicated packaging system for all types of snack products. Comprising an R Series multihead weigher, high-speed bagmaker, and checkweigher, the line is operated by a single control panel which can be located at any part of the line and is capable of operating at up to 200 packs per minute.
The dates packing line incorporates Ishida’s CCW-RS-214 high-performance multihead weigher, a special tray filling system, QX-1100 tray sealer and new IX-GA-4075 X-ray inspection system. The line is not just ideal for dates but for a whole variety of dried fruit and ready meal applications.
The DACS checkweigher incorporates the new Ishida Data Capture System (IDCS), a user-friendly, secure software programme which records data from every pack weighed by up to 100 checkweighers into a single secure database.
Data can be analysed by batch, shift, operator, product or machine, with fully customised reports, and is accessed either on-site or remotely using secure Ethernet connections.The IDCS enables production managers to employ state-of-the-art monitoring for legislative compliance whilst also identifying cost saving opportunities, minimising product giveaway and improving production efficiencies.
The Ishida solutions on display demonstrate Ishida’s ability to devise complete packing line solutions, with all key components from a single manufacturer designed to work as one highly efficient unit. This single source approach offers the end-user more efficient installation, operation, service and support as well as providing the comfort zone of a single supplier taking responsibility for the system to achieve its agreed targets.
