A surveillance video circulated online Saturday shows the arrest of a suspected Daesh commander in the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh in south Lebanon.
The video was published on local media websites and shows Imad Yassine walking unescorted in the camp's Taware neighborhood. Four masked soldiers then startled him, beat him with a baton and dragged him into a shop selling metal sheets.
The circulated video then shows three other soldiers securing the area during their withdrawal from the camp and tossing several smoke grenades.
The arrest was carried out at the end of August.
The Taware neighborhood, considered a hub for extremist Islamists, was cleared of armed factions and Palestinian residents who had previously fled the camp were told to return, the state-run media added.
