The Jordanian government have released footage from the November 4th 2016 shooting of three US soldiers at the al-Jafer military base in Ma'aan governorate, Jordan. The soldiers are shown frantically raising and waving their hands in surrender as the killer continues to shoot at them.
The vehicles in which the US soldiers were traveling were fired upon as they approached the entrance of the military base. They are clearly shown raising their hands in surrender as the shooting continues. The shooter then pursues them as they flee, before killing them. He then surrenders to another approaching soldier.

A Jordanian military court sentenced the soldier responsible for the shooting, 1st Sgt. Marik al-Tuwayha, to life imprisonment with hard labour.
Al-Tuwayha belongs to the large Huwaytat tribe in the south of Jordan, who protested the conviction fiercely, amongst their demands was for the government to release video footage of the incident.
