UAE residents Ms. Sawsan Abou and Dr. Mustafa Hatim recently enjoyed family holidays of a lifetime to Disneyland® Resort Paris, courtesy of Visa in its home delivery promotion with popular restaurants Chili’s and The Pizza Company. Little did they know that by paying for their home deliveries with their Visa cards that they would each win family vacation packages valued at US$10,000.

The promotion marked the launch of credit and debit card payments in the home deliveries segment of the food and beverage market, utilising Global Packet Radio Service (GPRS) technology, and introduced home diners to the convenience and safety of paying by using their Visa card. By paying with their Visa cards Sawsan Abou, an Iraqi national and Dr. Mustafa Hatim, an Indian national, were automatically entered into the draw for these fabulous prizes. Both competition winners had entered the draw on their doorstep with the swipe of their Visa Card without having to fill in any entry forms.

Commenting on the trip, Dr. Mustafa Hatim, a physician at a Dubai-based medial centre, said: “My family and I had a true adventure and the memories that we enjoyed will last a lifetime. To sum our experience in one word it was magical and we are very grateful to Visa and The Pizza Company for this opportunity”.

The second winner in the promotion, Ms. Sawsan Abou, an interior designer in Dubai who dined from Chili’s, said: “We have never been to Disneyland® Resort Paris before; this was an amazing opportunity and a great surprise considering I did not fill in one single entry form. We are truly lucky to have won this holiday. Visa has enabled card payments in the home delivery segment of the market in the UAE by introducing GPRS technology, a mobile payment terminal allowing Visa card transactions to be authorized on site regardless of location, eliminating the need for a fixed telephone line and providing greater flexibility and security for Visa cardholders.
