Volkswagen Middle East hosts 2nd After Sales Conference in Bahrain
For the second time in the region, Volkswagen Middle East conducted a two-day After Sales Conference in Bahrain bringing together best practice methods and processes that meet the global Volkswagen after sales standards.
The event witnessed the participation of over 40 After Sales Managers, Service and Parts Managers and IT Managers from around the region as well as After Sales and IT delegates from Volkswagen headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany.
This year’s conference featured interactive workshops on how to improve the Volkswagen service standards and customer satisfaction as well as reducing the current repeated repair rate.  The conference also provided the opportunity to showcase to participants the new state-of-the-art After Sales Facilities of the local Volkswagen partner, Behbehani Brothers WLL located in Bahrain.
Mr. Thomas Faerber, After Sales Manager, Volkswagen Middle East, commented: “We at Volkswagen constantly strive for continuous improvement not only in our models but also our services.  This After Sales Conference plays a big part in achieving improved service standards through our service centres throughout the Middle East. The Conference is also an important platform for exchanging and sharing information on what is happening in each market with regards to Volkswagen After Sales within the region.”
One of the main achievements of the two-day event was the implementation of the first international pilot for a new Offboard Diagnose Information System (ODIS) in Oman which will roll out in the region by the end of 2008.  ODIS is a central system that will allow Volkswagen technicians to access all required car information through one single point.
In addition, the event saw the first international pilot for Corporate After Sales Information System (CASIS) established for the region. This system helps to monitor and keep the KPIs on track and measure them accordingly.
