More than 600 customers and media from around the region experienced the Volkswagen brand in its full diversity and glory at the Volkswagen No Limits event which recently took place across eight fully charged days at the Bahrain International Circuit. Through vehicle demonstrations, driving sessions and brand education, participants were exposed to the ultimate that the Volkswagen model range, services and innovative technologies has to offer at one of the most established race tracks in the Middle East.
Participants from Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Syria and the UAE were able to discover the exhilarating world and culture of Volkswagen in four key sessions conducted by eight international drivers from Germany.  These sessions included a theoretical introduction, a sporty driving training session with the Golf GTI and Golf R32, an intensive on-road training session with some of the bestsellers of Volkswagen, including the Jetta, Passat as well as the Phaeton and an off-road experience with the capable Touareg.
In the sporty driving session, participants were able to test drive the Golf GTI and Golf R32 to their maximum performance by learning the correct observation technique and recognising the ideal line for braking and turning-in points.  Participants experienced the advanced safety and driving features of the Jetta, Passat and Phaeton range first-hand in the on-road driving session, from steering slalom to optimise sitting and steering wheel posture to emergency braking at different speeds, how to avoid obstacles and over and understeering. For the off-road session with the Touareg, participants received professional tips on different terrains, and experienced driving at an angle, how to ascent and descent in extreme conditions, crossing obstacles and avoiding danger.
Mr. Hans-Dieter Keller, Managing Director of Volkswagen Middle East said, “The Volkswagen No Limits event is a complete practical driving programme which offers drivers the chance to test their driving skills with international instructors as their personal guides.  It gives them an opportunity to be closer to the amazing world of the Volkswagen brand and product range as well as gain valuable insight into the groundbreaking innovations, agility, dynamism and safety of Volkswagen vehicles.”
“We are very pleased with the outcome of this event which is the first of its kind in the Middle East for Volkswagen,” said Iris Kraska, Marketing and PR Director, Volkswagen Middle East. “It was designed to demonstrate to our customers and media around the region the unique driving and dynamic potential of Volkswagen vehicles and bring them closer to the Volkswagen world and culture through these activities”.
