In an unprecedented move in Arab entertainment media, Lebanese singer Wael Kfouri is set to announce his engagement to one of his relatives in a live television interview next Wednesday.
The announcement will take place from Rome, where one of Arab satellite television (ART) music stations will host the singer.
According to ‘Al Sharq El Awsat’ newspaper, Kfouri disappointed gossipmongers who were expecting the singer to get married to a fellow popstar.
Kfouri is currently considered one of Lebanon’s most successful singers, especially with the younger generations. He broke into the Arab music scene with a duet alongside Lebanese songstress Nawal El Zughbi, Meen Habibi Ana (Who Do I Love) – Albawaba.com.
