The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), a Dubai Properties Group destination, announced it will host 'Tätärä', a young German brass band, for an open-air concert at the beachfront promenade on November 26th, at 7:00 pm.
Organised by the world-renowned Goethe-Institute, whose aim is to promote German language and culture around the globe, the music concert at The Walk comes as part of DPG's endeavour to showcase and promote diverse global cultures at the unique beachfront shopping and dining venue.
The 12-member 'Tätärä' will march along The Walk while entertaining spectators who will become part of the show. The evening, which will be full of uniquely blended music, theatre and performance will also involve promotions and giveaways including the typical German 'pretzels', a popular snack.
Brass music or 'Tätärä' has its origin in village and town orchestras traditionally played during community events. 'Tätärä' can also be funky street music, handmade and without the help of electronically amplified features. Various instruments such as saxophones, flutes, trumpets, trombones, tuba and drummers provide an energetic spectrum of sound and a colourful cocktail of music with composed jazz, beat and classic pieces as well as freestyle elements.
With its vast range of recreational facilities, The Walk has quickly evolved into one of the most favoured destinations in the UAE for lifestyle, leisure, popular entertainment, health and beauty, as well as retail experience. By delivering 'The Walk', a destination that stands apart as one of the most sought-after venues, Dubai Properties Group continues to contribute to enhancing the emirate's tourism objectives.
