A Bosnian Serb indicted for war-crimes, Janko Janjic, committed suicide as NATO-led peacekeepers tried to arrest him overnight in Foca, southwestern Bosnia, the UN war-crimes tribunal said Friday, reported (AFP)
A local Bosnian police source had reported earlier that "most likely, Janjic was shot dead in the shooting that occurred during the operation."
Janjic, 43, had been indicted along with seven other suspects in October 1999 for crimes against humanity and war crimes for the rape and murder of Muslim women in Foca – (AFP)
