Wataniya Airways, Kuwait’s premium service airline, took Kuwait by storm today with its one day birthday offer of 11,000 seats at 11KD return to all its destinations. The offer was overwhelmingly received by the general public with thousands of tickets being booked within hours as the company received a huge number of calls and hits on the website from travelers.

“We are humbled by the reception we’ve got from the public, we’ve received a huge amount of phone calls and hits on our website and people stormed our offices trying to take advantage of the birthday fare,” said Lee Shave the company’s Chief Commercial Officer. “There are certainly much more than 11,000 people who wanted to travel and we regret that we might have disappointed some guests who either didn’t find tickets to their favorite destination or on their desired dates,” noting that the company allocated 11,000 seats to its 8 destinations and some seats on popular routes such as Beirut and Cairo ran out in the first hours of the offer.

“Our offers are not done yet”, said Shave, “we are still celebrating our first year of success and introducing a new offer starting tomorrow with low prices to all our popular destinations.” The new discounted first year offers start from KD17 to Dubai and Bahrain, with more low prices to other exciting destinations such as KD30 to Damascus, KD35 to Beirut, KD49 to Sharm El Sheikh and Amman, and KD62 to Cairo. The offers will be available starting January 26th until February 25th to coincide with Kuwait’s celebrations of National and Liberation days.
