Wataniya Airways further strengthens its Commercial Team

Wataniya Airways, Kuwait's premium service airline, has announced four key additions to its Commercial Department, as it expands and gears-up for future growth.

Joe Ghazal has been appointed Wataniya Airways' new Director of Marketing. Mr Ghazal brings with him over 15 years of experience in the marketing and advertising field, both in Kuwait and the Middle East. A further senior appointment is Charles Johnson as Director of Product. Having worked for the Virgin brand in products and partnerships, Mr Johnson brings a wealth of knowledge from over 15 years of aviation experience working in Australia, USA, and Kuwait. The airline has also brought in Mahmoud Al Azzam as International Sales Director, who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of airline sales in the Middle East region after spending most of his career with Royal Jordanian Airlines, working in various countries around the region.

As a sign of its future ambitions, Wataniya Airways has also appointed Mark Senior to the Commercial Team as Holidays Product Manager. Mr Senior plans to create the infrastructure and operations for the future Wataniya Holidays brand to allow the airline to expand its services and products specifically tailored for the leisure traveller. Mr Senior brings more than 20 years of experience in the travel and tourism marketing sector, working in various areas of the world, including the United Kingdom, Bahrain, Qatar and UAE.

Lee Shave, Wataniya Airways' Chief Commercial Officer welcomed the new additions to his team and said: "Wataniya Airways is a fast growing business and has sought out some of the best talent available in their respective fields to ensure we can achieve the considerable ambitions we have for the airline in the future.
