Welsh food and drink producers are heading for Dubai and the biggest trade exhibition in the Middle East, Gulfood 2010

This is the sixth successive year that a national pavilion of Wales will be present at Gulfood, with the stand being organised by International Business Wales (IBW), the trade and investment arm of the Welsh Assembly Government, on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government’s Food, Fisheries and Market Development Division.

The pavilion will host 5 Welsh exhibitors and IBW will be working to connect interested buyers with other Welsh Food & Drink exporters as Rob Foreman, International Development Manager, Food & Drink explains; “As in previous years IBW and our visiting delegates hope to meet both current and new importers, distributors, retailers, and foodservice providers, not only from the Gulf States but also the many other countries that visit this premier event.

“Wales has long been recognised for its world-class primary food produce and is now also establishing a reputation in the UK and abroad as a producer of diverse and exciting ranges of food and drink products, manufactured to the highest standards”.

Among the Welsh contingent is The Abergavenny Fine Food Co, which is exhibiting at Gulfood for the first time and manufacturers a range of high quality frozen foods.
