Israeli forces killed a Palestinian fighter from Fatah movement on Monday in a raid in the West Bank. An Israeli military spokeswoman said soldiers had shot the armed man during an overnight raid in a refugee camp near the West Bank city of Jenin. "He had an M-16 (assault rifle) with a telescopic sight," the spokeswoman said, according to Reuters.
Palestinian security sources said the 25-year-old Muhammad Abu al-Heija was a member of al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the armed wing of Fatah movement.
Across the West Bank Sunday night, a total of six Palestinians were arrested by Israeli forces.
