"West Beirut" to be projected in IFC Casablanca

The Lebanese director Ziad Doueiri's film "Beyrouth Al Gharbiyya" (West Beirut) will be shown in the French Institute in Casablanca on September 24. The movie, released in 1998 tells the story of Tarek during the civil war, which started in 1975. "West Beirut" was shown in several international festivals, including Cannes Film Festival, Freiburg International Film Festival, Paris Biennial of Arab Cinema, Toronto International Film Festival, Valladolid International Film Festival and Carthage Film Festival. The movie won the International Critics' Award (FIPRESCI) at Toronto International Film Festival.
