ALBAWABA- WhatsApp and Instagram, two of the most popular Meta-owned platforms, experienced a major global outage, leaving users unable to send messages or access the apps.
The disruption, which also affected Facebook and Threads, started early on December 11, 2024, with reports peaking on platforms like Downdetector, indicating over 20,000 user complaints about WhatsApp alone.
This latest incident follows a series of outages affecting Meta services throughout 2023 and 2024, including a significant one in April 2024. Meta has yet to issue a detailed explanation for the current outage, which has disrupted communication for millions worldwide.
