ALBAWABA - The emergency Arab-Islamic summit kicks off in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Monday to discuss a response to the Israeli attack that targeted Hamas officials in Qatar last Tuesday.

The Doha emergency summit comes amid widespread solidarity with Qatar and widespread international condemnation of the Israeli attack that was carried out on Sept. 9 targeting Hamas officials in Qatar.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled al-Hamad al-Sabah, and Prince Moulay Rachid, representative of the King of Morocco, arrived in Doha to participate in the emergency Arab-Islamic summit.

In addition, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, Chairman of Sudan's Transitional Sovereignty Council Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Oman's Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs Shihab bin Tariq bin Taimur Al Said, and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Doha to participate in the emergency Arab-Islamic summit scheduled to be held in Doha today.

A ministerial meeting for the emergency Arab-Islamic summit was held in Doha on Sunday, with the presence of about 50 ministers and officials representing the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The meeting yesterday discussed the draft final statement for the summit.
