Xerox the world’s leading document management solutions provider will be showcasing their latest print and document management innovations, bringing the true meaning of ‘Colour’ to Gitex this year. Xerox’s strategy is to lead in colour technology and services and continues to drive down costs and knock down barriers to colour wherever they find them.
In our daily lives and in business colour has huge significance. Despite the progress achieved to date, there’s still a long way to go.  Xerox is at the heart of the advance of colour. Since they announced the first phase of their Colour Everywhere strategy in 2001, they’ve formed partnerships with leading color companies like Adobe, EFI, Creo and Pantone – and thousands of value-added colour resellers around the world. Xerox has launched breakthrough technology platforms like solid ink and the iGen3 – along with new workflow software tools.
“There used to be the excuse that colour was complicated, unreliable, and expensive. No longer. Customers are leading the demand, convinced by the power of colour. Colour captures attention, enhances productivity, and improves communication. Do all of these things and colour has commercial benefits that are impossible to ignore. Colour will boost your sales. That has certainly been our experience at Xerox. With a 20 percent per annum increase in the number of colour pages being printed, Xerox Middle East & Africa activity is outperforming this market dynamic significantly,” says Ben Gale, General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Xerox Middle East & Africa.

At Gitex 2006, Computer and Communication Systems FZE (CCS) & eSys - located in Halls 2 & 4 at DWTC - will be showcasing Xerox’s latest range of Phaser printers, both laser and solid Ink (colour & mono).  Also present will be Xerox’s multifunction devices (MFPs) from the Workcentre range.  The broad portfolio of printing technology on show will demonstrate to visitors that Xerox is the Smart Alternative for printing and highlight its leadership in the colour arena.

Visitors to Gitex 2006 will see how Xerox is engaging the region further with relevant solutions to cater to their specific document needs. Xerox will be showcasing a number of new products including the Phaser 7760 for those customers interested in colour critical applications through to the Phaser 6110MFP for those customers looking for an entry level colour multifunction machine to meet all of their general office requirements.

In the mono laser category, the Phaser® 3428 (starting as low as $350) laser printer launched in the region at Gitex will be available in two models: the Phaser 3428D and Phaser 3428DN. With a 400 MHz processor, the Phaser 3428 prints up to 28 (A4) pages per minute and has a first-page-out time as fast as 8.5 seconds, allowing businesses to quickly complete large print jobs.

“As part of our commitment to our customers we are working closely with our partners to maximize the awareness of information technology and the value adds which we can offer businesses in the Middle East,” commented Gale. “We are also enhancing our routes to market with more channel friendly products that customers can acquire, when they want, where they want and have those products supported in the way they want.  In essence we are looking at the whole spectrum of the customer experience and once we understand their requirements we deliver a print solution which is tailor made, fits their specific print needs and is sold and supported in the most convenient and efficient way.”

At Gitex 2006, Xerox will also be taking the opportunity to meet with current and prospective partners to broaden their channel network in the region. Xerox’s key objective has always been and still is the development of channel and key partners to ensure delivery of smarter document processes, boost productivity, and cut costs through innovative consulting services to companies, who are involved in the business of printing at every level.

Market growth across the Middle East has been in all sectors from single function printers, to entry level multifunction to colour multifunction.  Xerox has benefited from these growth areas and has shown that the most complete printing portfolio in the industry really does give customers a wide choice.
