Yemeni security authorities have arrested five more Islamist "extremists", including two who escaped a crackdown in remote southern mountains in late June, an official said Wednesday.
The five were arrested on Tuesday, the security official in Abyan province told AFP, on condition of anonymity.
Two were fugitives who escaped the sweep in the Jabal Hatat region last month, and the three others were arrested in Abyan for sheltering some of those wanted, he said. (Albawaba.com)
