Yemen is to take part in the 54th round of United Nations to begin on Friday in New York. Foreign minister Abu Bakr Al-Qerbi left on Tuesday to the United Nations to represent Yemen in the round.

The 26 September weekly, cited by SABA news agency, said Sanaa would confirm its opposition to terrorism, the Israeli occupation of Arab lands and threats against Iraq.

Moreover, the paper said Yemen would also call for an international conference on terrorism under the auspices of the United Nations, so as to clearly identify terrorism and reasons that lead to global extremism and violence.

The paper added that the most significant solutions to avoid extremism and terrorism were obtaining justice, poverty alleviation, removing unrest points in the world and the Middle East region, encouraging dialogue of civilizations, pressuring Israel to stop terror against Palestinians and to respect international legitimacy.
