Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh’s counselor, Dr. Abdul-Kareim al-Aryani described the US threats against Iraq as “haughtiness”. This emerged when he had received Iraq's Charge d’Affaires to Sana'a, Husni Sadiq Khalefaa, according to the Iraq news agency.
The Iraqi Charge d’Affaires mentioned that the “great persistent of Iraqis as well as their loyalty to President Saddam Hussein would foil (the) enemies’ plots”, according to INA. In addition, he expressed the Iraqi leadership’s deep appreciation for the heroic stand of the Yemenis, led by President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Furthermore, he expressed hope to promote brotherly relations to serve the Arab nation. Later, Khalefaa met with Khalid Abdul-Rahman Al-Akwaa, Vice-Chairman of Political Directorate of the General Popular Conference Party (GPCP), the agency added. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed means of strengthening bilateral relations.
Al-Akwaa affirmed the GPCP’s support for Baghdad in facing the “arrogance” of the United States, INA said. (Albawaba.com)
