Seven Al Qaeda suspects were killed in a drone strike on Wednesday in a village near Yemen's capital, according to a security source quoted by AFP.

Two Saudis were reportedly among the dead after four missiles hit the car they were traveling in on the road linking Marib province to Sana’a.

A U.S. drone strike on a car in Maarib, east of Yemen's capital Sanaa, on Monday killed four suspected al-Qaeda militants, and a strike on Tuesday killed five suspected militants.

Strikes by US drones in Yemen nearly tripled in 2012 compared to 2011.
