The Ministry of Education of Yemen received 180 tones of dates on Thursday, presented to Yemen by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within the framework of the international food program.
The aid that Yemen received today is part of 300 tones presented by the Saudi Kingdom to the Yemeni people, the remaining 120 tones of which are designated to the charity societies and orphans houses, reported the Bahrain news agency.
As early as 1983, the United Nations General Assembly called on all member bodies to help Yemen deal with its food shortages. (www.albawaba.com)
