Three Yemenis convicted forming an armed group and carrying out terror acts were sentenced to death on Tuesday, a day after a Yemeni court handed down death sentence against seven nationals under same convictions. During Tuesday's hearing, the Specialized Penal Court also sentenced six others to 5-15 yeas in prison, the state-run SABA news agency reported.
Monday's and Tuesday's convicts belonged to groups captured last year in the Bani Hushaish district, Sana'a, in connection to the armed clashes between the Shiite Houthi elements and the army.
Indictments against the sentenced included holding weapons which they used to carry out bombings, fight troops and harm the people's interests.
