Yemen's President Ali Abdullah Saleh expressed his great sorrow for the ongoing killing in Iraq. Following his meeting with French President Jacques Chirac in Paris, the Yemeni leader said "We and the whole world are not comfortable with what is going in Iraq. We don't like to see killings and bloodshed either among Iraqi people or the coalition forces."

He added that the situation must be solved by satisfactory manner to keep security and stability of Iraq and its lands, and to build a united democratic Iraq apart from sectarianism and provincialism.

Quoted by SABA, Saleh said "our and all the world aspiration is to see peace prevails in the region and we and our friends in France agree on this issue."
