Yemeni Government, Opposition to Discuss New Electoral Law

Yemeni Prime Minister Abdulqader Ba-Jammal announced on Friday that his government intended to hold talks with all political parties on a new draft law for general elections, according to the official news agency, Saba. 

“This step is a proof that democracy is a partnership between government and opposition,” he said. 

Ba-Jammal said that under the directives of President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the government and all general secretaries of the political parties would discuss the principles and concepts of the new law – Albawaba.com
