Amid continued clashes between Houthi fighters and Yemeni troops in northern Yemen, members of the Shiite resistance group have said they seized several key government positions in Saada province on Wednesday. According to a Yemeni news site, the Houthi said they took full control of Bisbas, a government military position in Razeh district, as well as a military base in the region.

“These positions were full of military equipment, and we still control them along with an airport we seized yesterday” a rebel spokesman told the site. According to the office of Abdel-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of the group, Yemeni troops left a cache of weapons, ammunition and military equipment.
