The Yemeni-Saudi technical commitee charged with demarcating borders between the two countries will start its field work next October, the Al Riyadh newspaper said on Saturday.
The paper reported that a German firm had been commissioned to carry out field surveys of all land and sea borders, and that the company had drawn up detailed maps.
The German firm had previously demarcated the borders between Saudi Arabia and Oman, according to an agreement signed between them. It also demarcated borders between Yemen and Oman.
The move fulfills a landmark agreement between Riyadh and Sanaa signed in June last year, which ended a long border dispute between the two neighbors – Albawaba.com
