Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, chairman of Young Arab Leaders Bahrain, welcomed over 200 participants as he officially opened the three-day Arab Leadership Forum (ALF) at the Movenpick Hotel today. His Excellency congratulated the participants for their desire to learn and highlighted the significance of the annual event in aiding leadership development among youth.
He said: “We are proud to be hosting the prestigious Arab Leadership Forum once again this year, one of the most well-respected leadership forums for youth professionals in the region. I congratulate everyone here for seizing the opportunity to participate in the forum’s activities, and for having the passion and the commitment to want to advance in their careers and become future leaders in the Arab world. It is events like this that encourage our youth to adopt a leadership mindset and help lead and drive their careers forwards, and by doing so, drive the Arab world towards success.”
Shaikh Mohammed also thanked YAL’s program partners Kuwait Finance House, ALBA and Hill and Knowlton and its media sponsors, Al Bilad and Al Wasat.
More than 200 Bahraini young professionals are participating in the forum. They will have the chance to learn more about leadership skill sets and how to develop the leadership mindset that makes a successful and effective leader. The forum also provides a unique opportunity to network with like-minded young professionals. Participants are young professionals who have already established themselves as potential leaders in their fields and ALF seeks to encourage them to extend these qualities by developing their leadership skills and how to capitalize on such valuable concepts.
The central theme for this year’s forum, Building the Next Generation of Leaders aims to show participants that leadership and success involves many paths.  To this end, leading international speakers will conduct workshops on topics as varied as understanding and applying leadership psychology to self improvement and wealth strategy.
The event reflects YAL’s continuous commitment to educating and nurturing the leadership potential among Bahrain’s youth and providing them with skills-training and mentoring to forge ahead as leaders in their careers. The forum is being held from February 20-22.
