Abdullah Suliman Ghloom Mseeb, a nine year old customer of Gulf Bank’s Hawalli branch, is the youngest person ever to win the Al Danah prize draw, which took place in June 2007.
Abdullah’s mother was delighted to hear the good news and said her son started to dance around the house when she told him that he just won KD 300,000. As he is a minor, it was Abdullah’s mother who organised the Al Danah ticket for her son, but she said she never dreamed it would turn out to be this lucky; “I can’t believe it. I’m in shock. Are you sure this is not a joke?” were her initial responses to the phone call from Gulf Bank’s representative informing the family of the win.
“This is the first time in all our lives that we win something like this. We would have been more than happy with KD 50,000 but KD 300,000! It's a dream come true,” said Abdullah’s mother upon being asked if he had won prizes before. When asked what they would do with his winnings they responded, “First, we will buy a house; after that we don’t know yet.” Until such time that Abdullah and his family decide to invest the prize money, it will be banked securely with Gulf Bank.
Abdullah Mseeb is one of five Al Danah KD 300,000 winners to be drawn in 2007 in Gulf Bank’s exciting account draw programme. “We are delighted that one of our youngest customers won this amazing prize,” said Gulf Bank’s Hawalli Area Manager, Hala Bibi. “The Al-Danah draw is eligible to all of our customers and this win will provide a superb investment for young Mr. Mseeb’s future.”
In December Gulf Bank will crown the first ever Al Danah KD Millionaire, the biggest account prize draw ever offered in the Middle East. One Gulf Bank customer will walk away with one million Kuwaiti Dinars.
Al Danah gives Gulf Bank customers the opportunity to save money and at the same time earn chances to win the highest value prizes in Kuwait, including the chance to become the Al Danah KD Millionaire. Earning chances has become even more convenient and rewarding, since bonus chances can be earned not only for how much money is in the account, but also for how long the money has remained in the account.
For every KD 50 in the account, customers receive one chance to enter the KD 300,000 draws. And for every KD 100, customers will receive a chance to enter the KD 1,000,000 draw. To be eligible for the draws, the money needs to remain in the account at least two months before the draw dates. Customers are advised to take advantage of the early deposit dates at the end of every month, to increase their chances of winning.
Opening an Al Danah account is simple; just visit one of Gulf Bank’s 40 branches or call the Bank’s hotline on 805805. You can also log on to www.e-gulfbank.com, Gulf Bank’s bilingual website, to find all the answers you need regarding Al Danah or any of the Bank’s products and services.
