ALBAWABA - Zakaria Sinwar, brother of former Al-Qassam leader Yehya Sinwar, turned out to be alive following an airstrike overnight by Israeli air forces, Roya news confirmed on Sunday.
News reports allegedly said earlier the same day that Zakaria Sinwar, brother of former Al-Qassam leader Yehya Sinwar, was "killed along with three of his sons" in an Israeli airstrike, Palestinian media reported on Sunday.
According to Shehab Agency, Zakaria, who was a lecturer of modern and contemporary history at the Islamic University, was targeted in an attack overnight on his tent in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
It is worth noting that the body of Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar was likely found inside a tunnel in the Gaza Strip, Al-Hadath website reportedly said, citing sources from Gaza.
The report further mentioned that Mohammed Sinwar's body was found inside the Hamas tunnel alongside 10 of his aides in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip.
Yahya Sinwar, the former head of Hamas in Gaza, was killed by Israeli army forces in southern Gaza on Oct. 16, 2024.
