A study on security and commercial interests being at the core of the Israeli policy in the African continent was conducted by the Zayed Center for Coordination and Follow-up.

The study titled “Israeli Penetration in Africa” features continuous Israeli attempts to engulf the Arab world from different directions with the aim of rendering it strategically redundant from a security point of view, according to a report in Gulf News

Along with the security factor, this also gets Israel greater economic and military gains and damages Arab relations with African countries, the study said. The study pointed out that Israel was able to make inroads into Africa by manipulating many factors that include economic conditions of some African countries and using its relations with former colonial powers to promote itself.
