ALBAWABA - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife Olena landed on Sunday in the United States in a planned trip to discuss the president's "victory plan" amid over two years of war with Russia.

According to local media, Zelensky is expected to discuss his proposals (victory plan) with US President Joe Biden, his Vice President Kamala Harris as well as Presidential candidate Donald Trump.

The Ukrainian president posted on his official X account: "I began my visit to the United States by expressing my gratitude to all the employees at the plant."

On Monday, Zelensky also said that he met Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Senator Bob Casey, and Congressman Matt Cartwright.

He wrote on the X platform: "I am grateful for all their support. We agreed to work even more actively to increase our common strength—the strength of both Ukraine and America. I also want to extend my special gratitude to everyone who welcomed us in Scranton with the blue and yellow colors of our flag."

He also visited the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant, where components for artillery and mortar shells are produced, including 155 mm shells sent for Ukraine. Zelensky requested the US and its allies to allow Ukraine to use long-range weapons in its wars with Russia.
