As the US prepares for a new administration next January, social media speculations over the new members of the Biden administration continue to expect a groundbreaking cabinet, one with so many firsts, including the first secretary from the LGBTQ+ community.

Democrats say Pete Buttigieg will almost certainly be in Biden's Cabinet https://t.co/B0HkQPKAPV via @Yahoo
Despite the current president's refusal to concede the outcome of the 2020 elections which has projected the democratic nominee as the winner last Saturday, social media users are already discussing the possible names that might join Joe Biden's administration.
Following several statements made by the president-elect in which he promised to be "a president for Americans" and to "restore the soul of the country," online people have been expecting a unique collection of diverse cabinet members that include not only democrats, but also progressives, people of color, members of the LGBTQ community, and even leading Republicans, possibly one of the conservative politicians who had voiced out support for Biden's presidential bid, including names of Mitt Romney and Cindy McCain.
Per @Politico, frontrunners for Biden cabinet include:
State: Susan Rice
AG: Doug Jones
HHS: Michelle Lujan Grisham
Transport: Eric Garcetti
Commerce: Meg Whitman
Energy: Ernest Moniz
Interior: Tom Udall
Agriculture: Heidi Heitkamp
VA: Pete Buttigieg https://t.co/SkN9Rsjhyr— Andrew Solender (@AndrewSolender) November 7, 2020
Most tweets have been predicting a nomination of the former presidential candidate, Pete Buttigieg, who is a war veteran who has served in Afghanistan before becoming the former mayor of his hometown of South Bend, Indiana.
Early in 2020, Buttigieg was the first openly gay person to launch a major presidential campaign before dropping out of the race last March, endorsing the DNC frontrunner, Joe Biden.
