He may have quit singing years ago, and he may be on the run from the law, but ex-singer Fadel Shaker has just released a religious chant about Jesus.

Shaker is as Muslim as they come and devotes his entire time to God these days. Nonetheless, he's spared some time to record a religious song about Jesus, titled “Jesus is Blessed.”

The lyrics go into how Jesus is a blessed prophet and how we are the beloved people of Jesus who have come from the right religion.

The song may come to many as a surprise, since many would expect him to sing a song about Prophet Mohammad instead.

Shaker turned into a jihadist supporter of the Salafist sheikh Ahmad al-Assir a few years ago, causing astonishment among fans and fellow celebs alike.

Recently, the former songster appeared in a video bragging about killing two people and injuring others in the battle of Abra, South of Sidon in Lebanon.

Fadel, who is wanted by Lebanese authorities for murdering two Lebanese soldiers, is currently on the run, so one can't help but wonder: Which recording studio allowed him to record this song?
