Security forces have succeeded to defuse a fifth explosive device near the Ittihadiya Presidential Palace in Heliopolis, reported Reuters' Aswat Masrya Monday afternoon.

The news comes after three bombs exploded earlier in the day near the Ittihadiya palace, killing at least two police officers and injuring no less than three, three of whom are security personnel.

This is the second explosive device that security forces have successfully defused in the same area on Monday.
