ALBAWABA - Abdulaziz Al Sheikh, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, died aged 81, local media in Riyadh revealed on Tuesday.
The Saudi Royal Court announced in a statement on Sept. 23 the death of Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Sheikh, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars.
The statement also uncovered that funeral prayers for the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia will be performed after the afternoon prayer today at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh.
In addition, King Salman bin Abdulaziz also directed that funeral prayers be held for His Eminence after the Asr prayer at the Grand Mosque in Mecca, the Prophet's Mosque in Medina, and in all mosques in the Kingdom.
