ALBAWABA - Italians target Egyptian human rights defender Patrick Zaki after he described Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a "serial killer."

Patrick Zaki, who was granted Italian citizenship in 2021 after he was jailed in Egypt, has recently released his book called "Sogni e illusioni di libertà (translated to: Dreams and Illusions of Freedom)."

Activist Patrick Zaki has been targeted after his post on X, formerly known as Twitter, calling Netanyahu a "serial killer."

He said: "When a serial killer tries to convince the international community that he respects international conventions, to legalize the killing of civilians. Where can they go!!!."

Zaki is being subjected to a backlash campaign, as they canceled his appearance on a television program and at the Turin International Book Fair, in Turin, Italy.

Nevertheless, the activist was about to deliver the opening speech at the Peace Festival but it was also dropped after his description to Netanyahu.
