ALBAWABA - Famous international hackers group Anonymous has released a new video warning the Kenyan government amid protests in the country over Finance Bill 2024.

On Thursday, protests outlined as ‘Occupy Parliament’ are expected to take place across Kenya, which Anonymous has warned calling authorities to adhere to the rule of law regarding demonstrations.

The hacker group posted on X, where they have over 5 million followers, criticizing Kenya which is heading to agree to a bill [known as Finance Bill 2024] they argue will unfairly tax Kenyan citizens.

The message reads: "Greetings, Citizens of the world. This is a warning message to William Ruto, the Kenyan Government, and all members of parliament from Anonymous. It has come to our attention that there are discussions in parliament to pass the finance bill, which will unfairly tax the citizens of Kenya."

The hacker group also added: "Kenyan citizens attempting peaceful demonstrations are being unfairly harassed, arrested, and shot at with live bullets by the police force under your command."

The Anonymous group also warned to reveal secrets about the Kenyan government if they abuse protesters who demonstrate to reject the Finance Bill.

Moreover, the group added that already some phone numbers of some members are exposed to the public and warned of extra hacking and leak of secrets.

"Soon, there will be an uprising of hackers, many of whom may reside in your home country. Your secrets may no longer be safe, and there is a chance that all these secrets will be exposed to show how corrupt and unjust members of this parliament are, embezzling public funds for personal gain," the group maintained.
