ALBAWABA - A video has gone viral on social media showing a great number of bags filled with money allegedly belonging to the ousted Gabon President Ali Bongo.
In the clip, Gabon army forces were seen breaking into the house of President Ali Bongo to find bags filled with cash.
The amount of money was unknown as the bags were filled with money in different currencies including Euro, Dollar, and the CFA franc.
Social media users expressed their shock amid the huge amount of money found at the house of the former Gabon president.
A person wrote: "The US President Joe Biden and French President Macron need to see this. The tens of millions of currency found in the former president's home of Gabon. And they support the corrupt leader Ali Bongo should be locked up. For robbing the people ."
Another commented: "Biden and Macron have the same thing going on. But they use shell companies and overseas banks to stash the money they steal from us."
A military coup took place against the Gabon-reelected president on Wednesday.
Later yesterday, coup leaders in Gabon selected General Brice Olegy Nguema, the Commander of the Republican Guard, as the head of the upcoming transitional period.
