ALBAWABA - US Secretary of State Antony Blinken was criticized by pro-Palestiian activists after he showed sympathy with Al Jazeera journalist Wael Al Dahdouh after the killing of his son, Hamza.
Al Jazeera journalist Hamza Al Dahdouh was killed along with his colleague Mustafa Thurayyah in an Israeli strike in Khan Younis on Sunday. Wael Al Dahdouh has lost his wife, two kids and a grandson in October also in an Israeli raid on Gaza.
Blinken, who is currently on a tour in the Middle East, spoke about the suffering that Wael Al Dahdouh is going through and expressed grief for the loss of the Al Jazeera journalist.
The Secretary of State said he was "deeply, deeply sorry" over the "loss" of Hamza Dahdouh. He added: " I am a parent myself, I can’t begin to imagine the horror that he has experienced, not once, but now twice."
However, activists have lashed out at Blinken and accused him of being "double standards" explaining that despite that he felt sorry for the loss of Hamza Al Dahdouh he didn't "condemn or blamed" Israel for the killing of the Al Jazeera Journalist.

Nonetheless, many pro-Palestinians also stressed that since the start of the Israeli aggressive attacks on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, the United States, headed by President Joe Biden, announced standing in support of Tel Aviv.
The US had also unveiled sending money and military aid to Israel to support it in its attacks on Gaza. According to media reports, the US House of Representatives agreed last November to a Republican plan providing $14.5 billion in military aid for Israel.
